Sitting in the drop off car line. My middle child, the younger son who is always pondering, always asking, strikes again.
Him: “I know Goliath was 9 feet tall. But what if He was only 9 inches tall?” he snickers.
Me: “He is only 9 inches tall – to God.”
He considers quickly, then chuckles.
Him: “Yeah, that’s true.”
Gives new perspective to our problems, doesn’t it? They can truly be overwhelming to us,
– like telling a 99-year-old man his barren, 89-year-old wife will conceive a son or
– a 9 foot menace belittling and terrorizing the Israelites or
– bills piling up or
– another year older and still single or
– a wayward child or
– _______________
but you remember what the Lord said to Abraham and to you today…
Is anything too hard for the Lord?

Certainly not, Jesus; You made that clear at the cross!
