How to Pray the Word of God When You Need Special Strength

Lord God, we know every day You’ve given us is another day closer to the fulfillment of our destiny.

And by your grace, You’ve allowed us to partner with You in the unfolding of your eternal plan.

Even in the middle of an outbreak, you’ve blessed us with health, a measure of strength, and opportunities to bless others with our gifts.

And though we’re grateful, we get tired.

Tired of waiting to see the fruit of our labor.
Tired from fighting battles on every side.
Tired of working in isolation.

So, we thank You for special strength like the kind You gave Elijah—strength to outrun a King’s chariot.

We thank You that instead of condemning our weakness; You send help—the ministry of angels, human and divine.

Just as angels fed Elijah and strengthened Jesus in the Garden, and just as Simon helped Jesus carry His cross, so will You send us assistance and support.

You are not surprised or disappointed by our weakness because it’s where your strength is displayed.

So, we thank You for the things you’ve set our hands to do. May we do them—and no more.

We thank You for the pace for our race. And when we get tired, the special strength to see us through!

It’s in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and declare. Amen!
