This year my family is doing something different.
Since our kids are all in different places and stages (a working creative, a college student and a high schooler) and the family group chat is the place we can all connect every day, I got the idea to include everyone in the Advent study I embarked on.
So I study each day and pop my discovery in the family group chat.
Now that we’re a few days in, I figured I’d invite you along.
So I’ll backdate the first few devotions to the day we started. And we’ll go from there!
I hope you enjoy this Advent devotion as much as my husband does.
The kids? Well, you know young people.
That’s why Proverbs 22:6 is my constant encouragement. Plus, I’ve been at this parenting thing long enough to see it’s true.
Even when they look oblivious to what you’re pouring, it’s still seeping in. The evidence surfaces when you least expect it.
Oh! And the theme of this Advent study is looking at Jesus’ birth akin to receiving a revelation of Jesus in your walk with Him. He’s always showing us more and more of Him. Receiving the revelation is the tricky part.
Enjoy the season and the devotional!
I’m rooting for you!
