“Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him,bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.” When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.”
It takes wisdom to desire more of it. It takes humility to know as wise as you are, there is One wiser still.
And to honor however He chooses to reveal Himself.
Wisdom personified was born right under Herod’s nose and he had no clue.
Because fools despise wisdom.
The fear [yira in Hebrew meaning reverence] of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 NKJV
Meanwhile wise men traveled days following a star they believed led to the One worthy of worship.
They rejoiced just to know they were near. And when they saw Him they worshiped in wonder.
And because they sought Wisdom, they received a revelation of the enemy’s deception.
Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Proverbs 4:7 NKJV
