“Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”

Isn’t it funny how the country the Jews once needed deliverance from is where the Savior of the Jews sought refuge?
God’s ways are not ours. He hid Jesus in the enemy’s backyard!
The enemy is nosy but only God is omniscient.
And anytime the Lord reveals Himself to His people, the enemy tries to steal, kill and destroy the situation.
He used Pharaoh at the time of Moses’ birth and now Herod.
Even though the enemy doesn’t know the specifics of what God is up to, He tries to ruin it before it takes root.
When the Lord shows you another facet of who He is to you, be prepared for a fight.
Don’t let him choke that seed out of you. Protect it. Bury it deep in your heart.
