Recently, someone asked me for my short bio. The verses we’ll pray today contain the short bio God gave Moses. And if you don’t know, God is awesome! Let’s tell Him…

Lord God we’re humbled in your presence today. We realize we couldn’t know You if You didn’t introduce yourself to us. You’re a speaking God, revealing what we’d never figure out on our own. And we thank You for your word to Moses. Because You called him a friend You told him who You are.
You’re a compassionate God. You saw us in our suffering, hopeless to fix ourselves or find You. So, You gave us Jesus. We didn’t deserve Him and we never will.
Your heart of grace is amazing.
We’re grateful You’re slow to anger, despite our stubborn willfulness. Instead, You overflow with love because You are love. Love that pursues us. Love that challenges and changes us. Love that never quits.
And You cannot lie. Every word You speak is truth. Your commitment to your word and your people is all we have to hold on to in these scary times. And it’s more than enough!
And for every way we’ve disobeyed, You’ve forgiven it all because You punished Jesus for all of it in our place. Our sin would have cost our children for generations, but You charged Jesus what we owed and could not pay—because You love us so. And in your grace, You invite us to receive this gift to pass from death to life.
Lord God, You are a wonder!
It’s because of who You are and our place in You we walk into this week confident. You are not angry with us; You love us and look to show us your goodness.
Have your way Lord.
Let those around us see your goodness in our lives and ask us about You. And when we answer, we pray we introduce You well! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Prayer based on Exodus 34:6-7, Hebrews 8:12.
“I have no words right now.”
We’ve all been there. Life hands you a problem you can’t even put into words, much less solve. And whether you’re a longtime believer who’s discouraged, you’re new to faith in Christ or you’re wondering what this “Jesus stuff” is all about, talking with God about what you’re facing feels so far out of reach.
What if there were a way to making talking to God easier?
You may not know what to say or you may not want to pray. But if you’re overwhelmed, speechless, and confused about what to do next, Jesus wants to help you.
