It’s tempting to give up on what God promised half-way through the year, but let’s pray you don’t!

Lord Jesus, here we are at the middle of the year! When we look back at the beginning of the year and the plans You spoke to us, some of those things came to pass and some haven’t.
And we’ve gotten weary in the waiting.
So we second guess things. Maybe we didn’t hear You right? Maybe we’ve believed for too much? Maybe we’ve disqualified ourselves?
The enemy sure seems to think so. He rehearses our failures to us all the time. And our faith wanes under his attack.
We know we aren’t perfect in all our ways—but You are, Jesus.
You took ALL the punishment for our guilty verdicts—everywhere we fall short of your likeness. You took it away in your body and put it out of our Father’s sight forever. And we can’t thank You enough, Jesus.
Holy Spirit help us renew our strength by focusing on Jesus, not ourselves.
And as for our enemy breathing out hatred for us—you’ve turned him away. You left him powerless and put him out of the way, the way You called us to walk in this year.
So we focus our eyes on You, Lord.
None of your words will fall to the ground. What You said will come to pass. And we praise You for the right to condemn the words condemning us.
Renew our strength, Lord. So, we will run and not get weary. So, we will walk and not faint.
It’s in your name Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Prayer inspired by Zephaniah 3:15.
“I have no words right now.”
We’ve all been there. Life hands you a problem you can’t even put into words, much less solve. And whether you’re a longtime believer who’s discouraged, you’re new to faith in Christ or you’re wondering what this “Jesus stuff” is all about, talking with God about what you’re facing feels so far out of reach.
What if there were a way to making talking to God easier?
You may not know what to say or you may not want to pray. But if you’re overwhelmed, speechless, and confused about what to do next, Jesus wants to help you.
