Father God, we boast in our lineage, our connections, our strength, our intellect. But before we or any of those qualities existed, You were the I AM.
Not the developing, becoming, or evolving, not past or future, but forever present and utterly complete—always, now, and forever.
The I AM.
You, the self-sufficient God, needing nothing, yet sustaining everything, and showing love, mercy and grace to mankind. Extraordinary in our own eyes but feeble in our flesh.
We made the mistake of making what’s seen larger than You, because you’re unseen. Now, at the threat of a virus unseen, we ask You to show us who You are.
We thought we knew, but we don’t.
Rise up, great I AM, and show yourself strong. Show us how You are everything we need and more. Humbled in your presence, we ask You, with hearing hearts, to speak to us.
We’re staring in the face of the unknown right now. There are so many unanswered questions. We don’t know what to do but, our eyes are on You.
We take cover under your wings, surrounded by your faithfulness. And we take You at your word. Surely, you’ll save us from the deadly pestilence and the fear it breeds.
It’s in the mighty name of Jesus; we pray. Amen.
Prayer inspired by John 8:58.
“I have no words right now.”
We’ve all been there. Life hands you a problem you can’t even put into words, much less solve. And whether you’re a longtime believer who’s discouraged, you’re new to faith in Christ or you’re wondering what this “Jesus stuff” is all about, talking with God about what you’re facing feels so far out of reach.
What if there were a way to making talking to God easier?
You may not know what to say or you may not want to pray. But if you’re overwhelmed, speechless, and confused about what to do next, Jesus wants to help you.
Got A Minute to Pray is a collection of 60 Bible-based prayers for today’s challenges like worry, anxiety, and depression.
These prayers are both powerful and practical. They connect your needs with God’s heart by echoing what God has already promised you. Because, unlike people, God always stands behind His word.

Christian prayer is not about religion. It’s a relationship with the living God. And when you have no words for what you’re facing, Jesus has plenty. So, you got a minute to pray?
